Day-by-day itinerary
9 days, 8 nights, and a deliberate rhythm: busy days alternate with lighter ones so the trip does not become a blur of monuments.
Day 1 — Arrive in Chongqing
Chongqing. Airport pick-up; evening free at Hongyadong, the viral stilt-house skyline over the Jialing River.
Day 2 — Chongqing City Highlights
Chongqing. Ciqikou Ancient Town, the Liziba monorail through a building, Jiefangbei and Hongyadong by night.
Day 3 — Wulong Karst National Geopark
Chongqing. The UNESCO Three Natural Bridges, Longshuixia Fissure Gorge, and the Transformers filming locations.
Day 4 — Chongqing to Zhangjiajie by High-Speed Rail
Zhangjiajie. A 3.5-hour rail to Zhangjiajie and a free evening on the Ancient Street.
Day 5 — Zhangjiajie National Forest Park
Zhangjiajie. The Avatar Platform, Bailong Elevator, Tianzi Mountain and Golden Whip Stream, plus the Romance of Zhangjiajie show.
Day 6 — Tianmen Mountain — Heaven's Gate
Zhangjiajie. Asia's longest cableway, the glass skywalk, and the natural rock arch of Heaven's Gate.
Day 7 — Zhangjiajie to Fenghuang Ancient Town
Fenghuang. Door-to-door transfer to Fenghuang; a boat cruise on the Tuojiang River and the covered bridge.
Day 8 — Fenghuang to Guangzhou by High-Speed Rail
Guangzhou. A morning in Fenghuang, then a high-speed rail to Guangzhou; evening free for dim sum and the Canton Tower.
Day 9 — Depart Guangzhou
Guangzhou. Private transfer to the airport for your outbound flight.
