Guilin & Yangshuo Private Tours
The karst landscape around Guilin is the China of paintings, and the twenty-yuan note. Guilin is the transport hub; Yangshuo is where you actually want to be, forty minutes downriver, with the peaks close enough to walk between. Most itineraries should spend one night in Guilin and two in Yangshuo.

What we do here
The Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo takes about four hours and passes the twenty-yuan note viewpoint at Xingping. It is the classic route and it earns the reputation. In Yangshuo, the Yulong River bamboo raft is the quieter alternative — poled, no engine, through farmland between the peaks. Longji rice terraces, about two hours north of Guilin, are a full day and best in May and June when the terraces are flooded.

- Impression Liu Sanjie — an opera staged on the river itself, the hills as its backdrop.
