Day-by-day itinerary
12 days, 11 nights, and a deliberate rhythm: busy days alternate with lighter ones so the trip does not become a blur of monuments.
Day 1 — Arrive in Beijing
Beijing. Airport pick-up and transfer; evening free along Wangfujing or historic Dashilan.
Day 2 — Beijing's Cultural Highlights
Beijing. Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and Jingshan Hill for the panorama.
Day 3 — The Spirit of the Dragon — Great Wall
Beijing. Mutianyu Great Wall, the Bird's Nest and Water Cube, and a Nanluoguxiang hutong stroll.
Day 4 — Imperial Architectural Heritage
Beijing. The Temple of Heaven, the Guozijian and Confucius Temple, and the Yonghe Lamasery.
Day 5 — Beijing to Zhangjiajie by Flight
Zhangjiajie. Afternoon flight to Zhangjiajie, with airport transfers at both ends.
Day 6 — Zhangjiajie National Forest Park
Zhangjiajie. The Avatar Platform, Bailong Elevator, Tianzi Mountain and Golden Whip Stream.
Day 7 — Tianmen Mountain — Heaven's Gate
Zhangjiajie. Asia's longest cableway, the glass skywalk, and the natural arch of Heaven's Gate.
Day 8 — Zhangjiajie to Chongqing by High-Speed Rail
Chongqing. Rail to Chongqing; Ciqikou Ancient Town and the Liziba monorail.
Day 9 — Wulong Karst National Geopark
Chongqing. The Three Natural Bridges, Longshuixia Fissure Gorge, and the Transformers filming locations.
Day 10 — Chongqing to Leshan to Chengdu
Chengdu. High-speed rail to Leshan, the Giant Buddha, then on to Chengdu by rail.
Day 11 — Pandas & Sichuan Heritage
Chengdu. The Giant Panda Base, the Intangible Cultural Heritage Park, and a Sichuan opera performance.
Day 12 — Depart Chengdu
Chengdu. Private transfer to Chengdu airport for your onward journey.
