Shanghai Private Tours & the Bund
Shanghai is where most China itineraries end, and it is the right place to end: modern, walkable, and much easier to enjoy in a day and a half than Beijing is. The Bund is the obvious set piece, but the city’s character is in the plane-tree streets of the former French Concession and the shikumen lane houses behind the towers.

What we do in Shanghai
A Bund walk timed to the light, Yu Garden and the old town, the Jade Buddha Temple, and a Huangpu River cruise at night when both banks are lit. If you have an extra half day, the former French Concession on foot — Wukang Road, Anfu Road — is the part guests remember more than the skyline.
Shanghai experiences you can add
- The Huangpu River by night — the Bund on one bank, Lujiazui on the other, both lit.
- Shikumen lanes on foot — stone gates, washing lines and the city behind the towers.
